OUR SPACE
Over the years, our three children have helped build and play in this space and the surrounding woods. Now that our children are mostly grown, we renovated this space into a retreat for individuals or couples seeking to connect with nature.
Between 2019 and 2022, we were greatly blessed to welcome guests into our home and make life-long friendships!
Sadly, this space is no longer available for rental.
ABOUT US
This treehouse was originally just a platform with a slide, dating back to 2013 or so. Eventually, Anne insisted we put up some rails up to keep our children from falling off, and shortly after that, I put up some walls and made it into a clubhouse around 2015. In 2017, Anne asked me what it would take to turn it into a full-fledged guest house. I told her: lumber, screws, and a fair amount of time. I worked on it through the fall of 2017 until it took the form of what you see today.
I'm a technical nuclear instructor who loves building things outdoors. My wife Anne is a high school science teacher and an amazing wife and mother. My wife and I are adventurers who care more about people and experiences than things.

It was such a pleasure to interact with the entire Stuart family! For an introvert like me, they have the perfect amount of hospitality: they respect your space and preferences. But if you want to chat, they treat you just like an old friend with with such warmth and kindness. I had a great dinner and breakfast time with the family. Also, the treehouse itself is the cutest thing. Loved chilling out or reading a book on the deck facing the woods. It was warm and cozy inside but cool and refreshing outside - just like the Stuart family themselves. :)

Southern Hospitality at its finest. I was welcomed into the Stuarts homes and hearts from the moment I arrived. The treehouse was perfect, and the bed super comfortable. The hot tub was amazing. What an amazing experience!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this treehouse getaway for a few days and received the best hospitality! We really appreciated the extra lengths the hosts went to provide a cozy, easy, enjoyable stay :) The bed in the treehouse is super comfortable to sleep in and there are so many activities you can do right around there like grilling, hiking, playing darts/video games, and watching/streaming movies (the service is good). The hot tub is very relaxing as well at the end of a long day! We definitely recommend booking a stay here.

We had an amazing stay at the treehouse. Honestly, this was the best experience we’ve both ever had. I booked for three days and honestly wish I had booked for longer. My fiancé and I came down from NY to celebrate his birthday for a few days and honestly they all flew by. The treehouse is sooo cute and the nature surrounding you at all times is beautiful. There’s so much to do... from playing on the Wii... spending time on the trails... relaxing in the jacuzzi... and roasting s’mores on the fire. We can’t wait to come back for another stay. Michael & Anne were incredibly accommodating... as well as just bright, friendly energies. :)

Michael and Anne are amazing hosts. They are responsive with a personal touch, and pay very close attention to the comfort of their guests. They are warm and welcoming but give you as much privacy as you like. The treehouse is a really nice space, cozy with great amenities. The trails behind their property are tranquil, and the hot tub was great! Can't recommend highly enough!

I already had such high expectations, yet somehow Michael and Anne still exceeded them. What a special stay at the tree house to celebrate our anniversary! By far my best Airbnb experience ever. We loved the fire pit, hot tub and had a great nights sleep in the tree house’s comfy bed. Hope to be back one day!

Michael and Anne are the BEST! My best friend and I recently got the joy of staying in their space. If you are on the fence about whether or not to stay here, let this be a sign to do so! Their treehouse is incredibly cozy and I got the best night of sleep I had in a long time. However, the best part of our stay was the incredible conversation we had with Michael and Anne when they invited us in for coffee and homemade blackberry jelly on toast. Some of the best hosts I've ever encountered- hands down!

The Stuarts were the nicest people we have ever met. They made sure we have everything we needed to feel right at home. They even made us breakfast and cookies on Saturday. We needed to change our dates due to a change in our work schedule and they were more than willing to help us out. We will definitely be back in the future.
